About Lois

A story about Kindness

I am blessed with four children and nine grandchildren who keep me fully in tune with their respective generations!

I live with my husband by the sea on the south coast in Dorset, England, drawing much of my inspiration from this beautiful part of the world.

I began writing in 2013 when my son and his family moved to Brazil. Writing letters to the children, I based my letters in story form around my mum, as much of my news at that time was about her. That sparked a realisation that I could write children's stories. I knew I needed a concept that I could build on which could grow into a series about the adventures of the exceptionally rascally 'Great-Grandma.' Hence my main character was born, joined by her devoted companion and sidekick, her adult sized adorable ginger cat Mincemeat.

My first book was a book of five stories in 2014, then came one further published story in 2016. My latest book was published in January 2019. I now have twelve further stories written ready to be published and I continue to write, the thirteenth nearing its end with another title in view.

My work always has the primary ethos of kindness, and I deliver additional messages throughout my books written in the spirit of great fun!
